OK so I haven't been very good at updating this!! I have no excuse since I have been off of work for the last month. Things with baby are good. Things with me are iffy!! For about the last 3 months I have had some bleeding and I have a cervical infection that doctor cannot get under control so I have been off of work. No lifting, no excessive walking, no sex, etc. Baby does not appear to be in any danger so that is good. JJ thinks we will have her before the end of the year but I am hoping she holds out until Feb!! My mom had me at about 29 weeks so it wouldn't be unheard of if I went early.
Baby furniture came today and it is beautiful!!! My aunt bought me by bedding from pottery barn and it is way prettier and nicer than I thought it would be!! Both Grandma's got to see an ultrasound of baby Addie and were soooooooooooooo excited!! I am set on baby clothes until about 4T right now thanks to Grandma's!!! My right leg has been giving me some problems from my congenital femur defect. It hurts way more now than it ever has so it is a good thing I don't have to be on my feet 8 hrs/day. Still taking pain meds and OB knows about it so that helps a little.
First baby shower is this weekend. I am sooooooooooooooooo excited!!! Not only do I get to get all the fun baby gifts but I get to spend a couple of days with my mom and see the rest of JJ's family that I don't get to see much. Then next weekend on to MI for my 2nd babyshower with my MI family!!! I bought my plane ticket but haven't decided if I am gonna fly alone or drive with mom and dad. I have an appt with my MD on Nov 8th so I will see what he suggests!! Just incase I did by the insurance for the plane ticket!!
Thanks for keeping all of us in your thoughts. JJ and I are super excited to meet our little Addie Bean!!

13 Weeks
Just a quick update everyone!!! Today is July 30th, 2010 and I had my nuchal translucency ultrasound. This is basically a u/s and blood work that screens for down sydrome and spina bifida. Everything measured good we just have to wait for the blood work to come back in about 7 days. Baby was moving all around!!! My favorite part was watching JJ's face light up whenever baby moved!!! He was mesmerized by it!! He will be such a great daddy!!! Baby is 6 cm long now and hearbeat was 171. I had them take a guess at the sex and she said it is still to early to tell for sure but if she had to guess she would say girl!!! We might get our little Adelyn!!! I always thought for sure I would have all boys so I am not at all prepared for a girl, but feel more than blessed with one!! So we have decided on names:
Boy: Eli Harlan
Girl: Adelyn Molly (Addy for short!!!)
Not another u/s until my 20 week one on September 13th to tell gender and measure all anatomical parts. I got lots of good u/s pics this time so I will post them tonight!! Thanks for all of your continued support. Baby is lucky to have such and amazing group of family and friends!!

12 W 4 Days!!
So today is July 27th and I am 12 W 4 D. As most of you probably know JJ and I are expecting our first little munchie bean on Feb. 4, 2011. We went through quite a bit to get where we are now. Pregnancy did not come easy to us (well mostly to me!!) We ended up doing an IUI (intrauterine insemination) where they took a sperm sample from JJ and "washed" it and then injected it through my cervix into my uterus. I took clomid pills, FSH injections, and got a HCG trigger shot prior to the procedure. Lucky for us it worked on the first time!!!
We found out that we were expecting a little bean and had our first U/S and saw HB around 5 weeks with a HB around 110.
Then I started some spotting around 7 weeks so I was back in for another U/S. They found a hemmorhagic cyst on my Left Ovary that measured 8 cm so I was on a no sex, no lifting over 40 lbs, and no exercise restriction. Baby looked good however and HB was up to 145.
Nothing exciting except extreme nausea and exhaustion. I was prescribed Zofran to help with the nausea however, it gave me terrible headaches, which I guess was better than throwing up.
At 9 weeks and 4 days I experienced some extreme pains in my left lower side and was told to come in for another U/S. They wanted to make sure the cyst on my Left Ovary was not cutting off the blood supply to the ovary or I would have to have emergency surgery. Baby looked great (finally looked like a baby moving his/her arm's legs all around!!). Baby's HB was 176. The cyst was still bleeding but had went from 8 cm to 6 cm so that was good news.
Went to NYC this last weekend with my Mother in law, sister in law, and best friend and had a blast. The weather was way to hot though and I ended up dehydrated and not feeling great when I got home so yesterday I went in for some IV fluids to rehydrate me. I ended up getting 2 Liters. I am still extrememly tired (MD said this should go away by 16 weeks) and nausea comes and goes. Friday July 30th I go in for my nuchal translucency U/S that screens for down syndrome. Will update after that!!!
