12 W 4 Days!!

So today is July 27th and I am 12 W 4 D. As most of you probably know JJ and I are expecting our first little munchie bean on Feb. 4, 2011. We went through quite a bit to get where we are now. Pregnancy did not come easy to us (well mostly to me!!) We ended up doing an IUI (intrauterine insemination) where they took a sperm sample from JJ and "washed" it and then injected it through my cervix into my uterus. I took clomid pills, FSH injections, and got a HCG trigger shot prior to the procedure. Lucky for us it worked on the first time!!!

We found out that we were expecting a little bean and had our first U/S and saw HB around 5 weeks with a HB around 110.

Then I started some spotting around 7 weeks so I was back in for another U/S. They found a hemmorhagic cyst on my Left Ovary that measured 8 cm so I was on a no sex, no lifting over 40 lbs, and no exercise restriction. Baby looked good however and HB was up to 145.
Nothing exciting except extreme nausea and exhaustion. I was prescribed Zofran to help with the nausea however, it gave me terrible headaches, which I guess was better than throwing up.
At 9 weeks and 4 days I experienced some extreme pains in my left lower side and was told to come in for another U/S. They wanted to make sure the cyst on my Left Ovary was not cutting off the blood supply to the ovary or I would have to have emergency surgery. Baby looked great (finally looked like a baby moving his/her arm's legs all around!!). Baby's HB was 176. The cyst was still bleeding but had went from 8 cm to 6 cm so that was good news.
Went to NYC this last weekend with my Mother in law, sister in law, and best friend and had a blast. The weather was way to hot though and I ended up dehydrated and not feeling great when I got home so yesterday I went in for some IV fluids to rehydrate me. I ended up getting 2 Liters. I am still extrememly tired (MD said this should go away by 16 weeks) and nausea comes and goes. Friday July 30th I go in for my nuchal translucency U/S that screens for down syndrome. Will update after that!!!
